Seventeen-year-old Terra Bliss has lived happily in Arena Beach, California, with her ex-hippie Mom for her entire life. But a series of events take their toll on Terra: her long-lost father shows up; her boyfriend wants their relationship to get more serious; high school will soon be ending; and her mother seems to be losing her grip on reality.
